ICNA Relief Canada (IRC) is a department of ICNA Canada that works in community and social development. The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is federally registered as a charitable
organization in Canada. We have built a widely respected reputation through our community welfare work. IRC is dedicated to reaching out at home and abroad through a wide range of aid
and rehabilitation projects; in particular, IRC endeavors to respond effectively to victims of
natural disasters internationally.

ICNA Relief Canada is hiring a Domestic Program Manager. Working closely with the Domestic
Program Lead, the role will oversee and coordinate the planning, implementation, and evaluation
of various programs and initiatives. The role will collaborate closely with internal teams,
external partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of programs that align with
ICNA Relief Canada’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, manage, and implement domestic program strategies and action plans in
alignment with ICNA Relief Canada’s mission and goals.
• Establish teams and programs for ICNA Relief Canada’s Domestic Department.
• Monitor and evaluate program activities to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and
adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and supervise program staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and
professional development opportunities as needed.
• Engage with Islamic organizations, INGOs, charities, Islamic centers, professional
associations, and other groups to explore opportunities, utilizing networking skills to
broaden event outreach and influence.
• Outreach and promote the initiatives within Muslim and broader communities through
various physical and virtual channels (Islamic centers, mosques, community groups,
organizations, advocacy groups, social media, etc.).
• Prepare and present regular reports on program progress, outcomes, and impact to
internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the development team to identify and secure funding opportunities,
grants, and sponsorships for program sustainability and growth.
• Stay informed about trends and developments in the non-profit sector and relevant
program areas, incorporating best practices and innovations into program design and
implementation.
• Conceive and implement creative and innovative event ideas and themes to enhance the
attendee experience and achieve event objectives, fostering memorable and impactful
experiences.
• Coordinate all event services, including venue inspections, accommodation and
transportation arrangements for participants, conference facilities management, catering
services, signage and displays, translation services, special needs accommodations,
audio-visual equipment, printing services, and security provisions.

• Conduct comprehensive short and long-term planning and management for all events,
ensuring meticulous attention to detail and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Uphold the company’s mission and vision with every event, fostering alignment and
coherence in all aspects of event execution.
• Cultivate a network of volunteers, ambassadors, and team members across the
community to advocate for ICNA Relief Canada’s programs, projects, and events.
• Manage day-to-day operations of assigned programs, including budget oversight,
resource allocation, and scheduling.
• Review proposals and reports, offering periodic guidance to local partners.
• Liaise with senior management on sensitive matters requiring diplomacy and discretion.
• Meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment, while managing multiple projects and
initiatives concurrently.
• Prepare presentations on the progress of domestic programs and projects and also monitor
quarterly progress to ensure consistent project delivery.
• Conduct both quantitative and qualitative research efforts.
• Contribute to organizational goals through flexibility and teamwork.
Qualifications:
• Must have a degree in a relevant field. 3-5 years of experience with customer service,
social services or office management.
• Must have excellent discretionary skills and be able to communicate politely and
effectively within a small office
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating tact
and confidence in daily engaging with volunteers, clients, and staff.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong cultural awareness and sensitivity in all dealings.

Working Conditions:
General office environment (prolonged sitting/eye strain from computer use, deadlines, indoor air quality/temperatures, lighting, etc.)
Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 per year.
