Ramadan Message

Dear Brothers and Sisters

Assalamu Aleikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuhu.

May this find you in the best spirits, looking forward to welcoming Ramadan.

As we embark on the sacred month of Ramadan, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you and wish you all a happy and joyful Ramadan.

It is a time of reflection, devotion, and spiritual renewal. It is a time for self-discipline, empathy, and compassion towards others, the less fortunate, and the oppressed all around the globe. As we observe the fast, let us be mindful of those who are suffering around the world: the oppressed, the displaced, and the marginalized, especially our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Let us extend our hands in solidarity and support and strive to make a positive difference in their lives. We stand with them, support them, and pray for them.

In our fast-paced world, Ramadan offers us a precious opportunity to pause,

recalibrate our priorities, and nourish our souls. Through fasting, prayer, and “Infaq” (acts of charity), we cleanse our hearts, minds, and wealth to draw closer to Allah.

Let’s remember that Ramadan is not merely about abstaining from food and drink, but it is about cultivating mindfulness, gratitude, and humility. It is about purifying our intentions and aligning our actions with the values of Islam: justice, mercy, and love for our fellow human beings.

Ramadan is a beautiful opportunity to develop and strengthen our connection with the Quran. Let us seize this blessed opportunity to seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness, drawing closer to Allah Subhanahu wa T’ala in worship, total submission, and steadfastness.

O Allah, bring it over us with safety and faith, security and Islam, guidance to what You love and is pleasing to You. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.

Wishing you and your families a blessed Ramadan filled with joy, peace, and spiritual upliftment.

Your Brother,

Mohammad Ijaz Tahir

President, Islamic Circle of North America.
