Job Description

ICNA Relief Canada (IRC) is a department of ICNA Canada that works in community and social
development. The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is federally registered as a charitable
organization in Canada. We have built a widely respected reputation through our community
welfare work. IRC is dedicated to reaching out at home and abroad through a wide range of aid
and rehabilitation projects; in particular, IRC endeavors to respond effectively to victims of
natural disasters internationally. ICNA Relief Canada is hiring a Resource Centre Coordinator
for Vancouver. The Resource Centre Coordinator reports directly to the Domestic Program Lead.
The role will be to carry out activities and programs for the resource center in Vancouver. The
role requires planning and executing fundraising events using the latest technologies and
business growth techniques to reach a greater audience for ICNA Relief Canada’s campaigns,
working in coordination with other Domestic program teams.

Responsibilities:
• Directly oversee and manage ICNA Relief Canada’s Resource center and Fundraising
initiatives in Surrey, Vancouver, and the British Columbia region.
• The role will require promoting ICNA Relief’s Domestic and International Projects
utilizing strong organizational and professional skills to ensure effective implementation
and impact.
• Collaborate in annual planning and budget development for the Resource Centre,
contributing to establishing clear objectives and financial sustainability.
• Formulate a long-term vision for the growth and sustainability of domestic programs,
projects, and youth initiatives, aligning them with overarching organizational goals.
• Assess client’s needs effectively, tailoring social support services, including settlement,
referral, education, and family services, while upholding ethical values and
confidentiality.
• Introduce and plan diverse activities and facilities for the community, such as workshops,
seminars, and awareness programs, fostering engagement and participation.
• Develop collaborative relationships with other social organizations and mosques in
consultation with the Domestic Programs Lead.
• Provide the community with comprehensive knowledge, education, and publicity
regarding ICNA Relief Canada’s International and Domestic Programs and initiatives,
promoting awareness and understanding.
• Plan, arrange, coordinate, and organize periodic meetings, seminars, workshops,
fundraising events every quarter, and training in collaboration with ICNA Relief Canada.
• Advocate for the community’s needs and concerns, with a specific focus on domestic
programs within the broader community.
• Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships,
individual donors, and Mosque partnerships throughout the British Columbia region.
• Develop relationships with current and prospective donors, sponsors, funding
organizations, and Islamic Centers/Mosques in designated areas.
• Coordinate fundraising campaigns and events, including donor outreach, fundraising at
Mosques, logistics, and promotional activities in Vancouver, Surrey, and other areas.

• Maintain meticulous records, including client data, services provided, meeting minutes,
decisions, action lists, and volunteer data.
• Prepare and submit monthly and annual progress reports for the Vancouver Resource
Centre and the Fundraising events in the area.
• Prepare and update related human resources lists, coordinating with team members about
programs and activities.
• Establish and maintain volunteers’ lists, assigning duties and responsibilities as needed.
• Prepare and submit project proposals to government and other donor agencies, seeking
potential funding opportunities.
• Perform all necessary administrative tasks to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of
the Resource Centre and Fund development initiatives.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by management in the best interest of ICNA Relief
Canada.
• Maintain accurate records of expenses and donations at the Resource Centre
• The comprehensive and dynamic approach outlined above aims to ensure the success and
positive impact of ICNA Relief Canada’s initiatives in Surrey, Vancouver, and the
surrounding areas while addressing the community’s needs.
Experience:
• Proven 1 to 3 years of experience in fundraising, event planning, donor relations, or
related roles within the sector.
• Experience in a clerical, administrative, or customer service role is preferred.
Qualifications:
• A degree in non-profit management, business administration, communications, or a
related field is Required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective engagement with donors and
stakeholders via written, phone, and email interactions.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
simultaneously.
• Knowledge of ethical fundraising practices and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in using CRM systems and digital communication tools for efficient
fundraising management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Passion for the mission and values of the organization.
• Ability to work independently, with 70% of the work conducted out of the office and
30% in the office. Driving for five to six hours per week may be required at times.

Salary range $45000 to $50000
